Main Symptoms of Depression

• Sad, anxious or empty mood that lasts for 2 weeks or more
• Loss of interest or pleasure in activities that were previously enjoyable
• Hopelessness, worthlessness, guilty and helpless feelings
• Significant changes in weight or appetite
• Changes in sleep habits
• Fatigue, loss of energy, feeling "slowed down"
• Agitation, restlessness, irritability
• Difficulty concentrating, making decisions
• Frequent thoughts of death or suicide, or suicide attempts

Faith Tensions

Helping the Depressed Christian
