A Faith Legacy Requires .
Let us fix our eyes on Jesus,
the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured
the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of
God. Consider him who endured such opposition from sinful men, so that you
will not grow weary and lose heart.
Hebrews 12:2-3
You Can't Build a Legacy of Faith This Way -- by running away
When Pharaoh heard of this, he
tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian,
where he sat down by a well.

everywhere, keeping watch on the wicked and the good.
Proverbs 15:3
The Turning Point
Now Moses was tending the flock
of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the
far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel
of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw
that though the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, "I
will go over and see this strange sight--why the bush does not burn up."
When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within
the bush, "Moses! Moses!" And Moses said, "Here I am."
Exodus 3:1-4
But Moses said to God,
"Who am I, that I should go to Pharaoh and bring the Israelites out of
Egypt?"

God.

Building a Legacy
Therefore, since we are
surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that
hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance
the race marked out for us.

fearing the king's anger; he persevered because he saw him who is invisible.

I have fought the good fight, I
have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the
crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me
on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his
appearing.

The living, the living--they
praise you, as I am doing today; fathers tell their children about your
faithfulness.
