You Are Loved: Umbrella of Grace
What motivates you in your life?
Life under the law = slavery and death
So, my brothers, you also died to the law through the body of Christ, that you might belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we might bear fruit to God.
Romans 7:4
For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God.
Galatians 2:19
Life under the Gospel = freedom
Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit of life set me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law was powerless to do in that it was weakened by the sinful nature, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful man to be a sin offering.
Romans 8:1-3
Are you living under the law or the Gospel?
Clearly no one is justified before God by the law, because, "The righteous will live by faith." The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, "The man who does these things will live by them." Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: "Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree." He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to Abraham might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the promise of the Spirit.
Galatians 3:10-14
Did you know?
You are an heir to all the promises of God and will share in his glory!
For you did not receive a spirit that makes you a slave again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father." The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children. Now if we are children, then we are heirs-- heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
Romans 8:15-17
So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and since you are a son, God has made you also an heir.
Galatians 4:7
Umbrella of Grace!
You have not really lived your life until you have experienced life under the Gospel. You are forgiven, redeemed, and free in the name of Jesus Christ!
