Mount Olive Ministries

It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God's people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.

Ephesians 3:11-13

Paul Hoffmann

Pastor Paul joined the Mount Olive Staff in November of 2009 to serve until the new pastor arrives. He was an Intern in San Luis Obispo before graduating from Concordia Seminary in Saint Louis in 1971. After receiving a Masters Degree in Christian education, he served in congregations in Silver Spring, Maryland and Woodbridge, Virginia and Dallas, Texas before coming to Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Los Gatos in 1983, where he served until he retired in 2007. Pastor Paul and his wife Jane have three married sons and five grandchildren.

Kat Sievert
Director of Student Ministries

Kat Sievert is a born and raised Southern California beach girl who loves the outdoors and sports, especially the Padres. Kat's passion for junior high and high school youth came out through a traveling summer program where she had the opportunity to meet and serve at various churches throughout California. During that summer Kat came across a bible verse which says, "For you are God's workmanship created in Christ Jesus, to do good works with God prepared in advance for you to do." (Ephesians 2:10) This verse helped her to see how important she is to Christ and what He can do through her. Kat wants to create a safe environment where we can build relationships and where our youth can learn about Christ and who they are in Christ.
