Mount Olive encourages all people who are part of our church family to give—not out of obligation but out of a spirit of worship. Through these gifts, we help support God’s work that is happening in our midst, in our community, and around the world.
For many years, Mount Olive has relied on passing the plate during worship services and Thrivent’s Simply Giving program which is an automatic offering plan through Vanco Payment Solutions. Vanco Mobile (formerly GivePlus) is a new app used for giving to the church through Vanco. The app is free to download from Apple’s App Store, Google’s Play Store and you are not charged a fee to make donations using the app. Vanco Mobile and Vanco’s service meet or exceed all industry standards to safeguard your data. This includes leveraging technology and encryption to ensure that your data stays safe during transmission. You can learn more about Vanco online giving here and the video below.
When you download the Vanco Mobile app for the first time, you will be prompted to enter the name of the church to which you want to give. You can type in the name of the church and select it when it appears. Look for Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Milpitas. Or, you can use the Find Churches Near me feature. Note: there are several churches with the name Mount Olive, so be sure to pick the right one.
After you select Mount Olive, it automatically becomes your “home” church. The next time you open the app, it will already be displayed. Currently donations can be given as a “1-time offering” or you can set up “automatic giving” for weekly or monthly giving.
If you are logged into your Vanco Mobile account or enter your email address when completing a guest donation, you will receive a receipt via email. When you are logged in, you will also be able to view transactions in your giving history.
VANCO ONLINE
Vanco Online (formerly GivePlus) has the same great options, but can be done right from this page. The form below lets you give right away, or sign in and setup recurring donations.
The Vanco Mobile app and Vanco Online giving form above are set up for use with checking/saving accounts and all major credit and debit cards.
