Our Bible Study on Sunday mornings will dive into the depths of the story of Noah and the ark. Many people know about Noah but there are details of the story that we should consider. Who else, more than five centuries old, engineers an ark, and rides the story seas with his family and a boatload of God’s magnificent creatures? In Noah: The Man, the Ark, the Flood from Lutheran Hour, we’ll encounter a man of faith who believed – and obeyed – even when doing so seemed foolish.
Climb aboard – Sundays after worship, approx. 10:30, in the CLC or online via the same stream.
The study will use videos from Lutheran Hour. Those videos and additional resources can be found here. The website describes the study:
Hosted by Rev. Kurt Klaus and filmed on location at the Creation Museum in Petersburg, Kentucky, this four-part Bible study from [Lutheran Hour] looks at the biblical character of Noah, his life and times, and the remarkable vessel he built to escape the waters of the flood. Along the way, commentary from numerous specialists considers the issue of extreme human age, how building such a watercraft was possible, the extent of the flood’s reach, how a single vessel could hold such a multitude of animals, and the phenomena of far-flung flood stories in other cultures.
