In Isaiah chapter 2, the prophet writes, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob, that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths.”
During the season of Advent, the Sundays leading up to the celebration of Christmas, there are two things in view: the anticipation of God keeping His promises with the birth of the Savior; and the anticipation of God keeping His promises with the return of Jesus. This year (2022), our message series will consider walking in the paths where God leads. What does it mean to walk with the Lord? Where does He lead us? Where is He leading you? As we walk, it can feel lonely and discouraging, but we don’t walk alone. So we walk in hope and we wait with patience.
As we prepare to celebrate Christmas and as we anticipate the return of Jesus, let’s walk in His paths, together. You’re encouraged to be in worship – in person if you’re local and able to be there, or on the stream if that’s necessary. We will be blessed in our preparation and encouraged in our walk.
