Remembering Sue

On Saturday, January 25, 2020, there will be a memorial for Sue Hein. We will be remembering Sue from 11-2 PM with a service in the church and a reception following in the CLC.

Miss Sue was a long time member of the congregation and part of the Mount Olive Staff from June 2, 2008 until her recent passing.

Susan  Kay Hein

February 10, 1942 – January 1, 2020

Ms. Susan ‘Sue’ Kay Hein, age 77, of San Jose was called to Heaven on Monday morning, January 1, 2020.

Born to the late Clarence and Adayla Hein on February 10, 1942, Sue spent her childhood in Detroit, Michigan, and moved to California in her adulthood. After 21 years working for AT&T, Sue retired in 1991 and began her second act – years filled with travel and adventure around the world.

Once her adventures concluded, Sue had an encore – she returned to work as a secretary at Mt. Olive, a church she loved with friends she treasured. In her free time, she enjoyed watching sports, (anything Michigan, specifically!), knitting and crocheting with her “crafty girls,” and being her grandchildren’s number 1 fan; whether it was a court, field, rink, there wasn’t a sideline she wasn’t on and a moment she wasn’t championing. She enjoyed traveling back “home” to Michigan to spend time with her sister and family as much as she could.

Sue is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Fred Bock and Chris Lencioni; a daughter and son-in-law, Shari Rossetta and Dan Rossetta; two grandchildren, Nicholas Rossetta and Amanda Rossetta; a sister and brother-in law, Sally Labatzky and Dave Labatzky; and two nephews, Jeff Liggett and Scott Liggett.

A beloved daughter, sister, aunt, mother, grandmother, friend, and champion, Sue will be truly missed and forever in the hearts of all of us.
